Le’Veon Who? Hello James Conner!
For those of you who have been living under a rock in the world of football and fantasy football, Le’Veon Bell did not suit up for the Pittsburg Steelers game earlier today. Bell and the Steelers have not been able come to terms on a long-term contract so he must play under the terms of his one-year tender which is valued at $14.5 million. The Steelers placed the franchise tag on March 7, but Bell has not accepted it. Bell could choose not to sign his franchise tender until November and still be credited with an accrued season and thus be granted free agency when the season ends.
Bell’s backup is second year player James Conner. So, how did Conner do today playing in Bell’s place? Conner rushed 31 times for 135 yards and two touchdowns while adding five catches for 57 yards.
So now that you have the facts, here comes the ballers.online spin. Le’Veon, for the sake of my fantasy teams, just don’t play this season, ok. I have Le’Veon Bell in a couple of my teams, and was only able to get him when I had the first or second pick, which was not very often. On the other hand, I got James Conner in about two thirds of my season long fantasy teams, snagging him right when Le’Veon failed to show up to practice for the first game of the season. So, today was a great day for my fantasy teams and I have the 30+ points from James Conner to thank for that. Bell is a special player who deserves to get paid so go get that check at the end of the season! Until then, James Conner is the man!
